Sustainable Living
Sustainable living involves living in such a way that the natural resources of the planet can be maintained. This may be done on an individual level, as well as on a societal one. Current scientific research points to the idea that humans are not living in a way that can be sustained.
There are many areas where sustainable living can be promoted. Examples include through energy consumption, transportation, and diet. There are many great resources and tools which a person can utilize for achieving this. For example, some people work with the concept of a "carbon footprint" to help them gauge how well they're efficiency.
To improve sustainable living, a greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions assessment can be taken. This helps a person, organization, or society to determine the size of their carbon footprint. After this is determined, strategies to reduce it can be explored.
